About the Journal

The Journal of European Internal Medicine Professionals (JEIMP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal devoted to the dissemination of high-quality research, reviews, and scholarly discussions across all disciplines of internal medicine and its subspecialties. Established with the vision of uniting clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals, JEIMP aims to promote evidence-based medicine, academic collaboration, and ethical scientific communication.

Mission and Vision

JEIMP’s mission is to strengthen the scientific foundations of internal medicine and to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration among specialists, academicians, and healthcare providers. The journal strives to empower physicians to become active contributors to global medical knowledge and to apply high ethical and methodological standards in research and clinical practice.

Its vision is to serve as a bridge between scientific innovation and daily medical practice by fostering continuous learning, academic excellence, and professional integrity.

Scope of the Journal

JEIMP publishes original research articles, comprehensive reviews, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, case reports, editorials, letters to the editor, and brief guideline summaries related to internal medicine and associated disciplines.

The journal’s core areas include:

  • Internal Medicine and its Subspecialties: Nephrology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Oncology, Pulmonology (Respiratory Medicine), Infectious Diseases, Geriatrics, Allergy and Immunology, and Hospital Medicine.

  • Interdisciplinary Topics: Psychiatry, Neurology, Dermatology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, ENT, and Women’s Health.

  • Special Population Focus: Adolescent and young adult health (ages 10 – 17), with emphasis on preventive medicine and transition care.

  • Cross-Cutting Themes: Healthcare delivery, public health, policy, bioethics, medical education, artificial intelligence in medicine, digital health, and research methodology.

Although JEIMP primarily operates within the internal and multidisciplinary axis of medicine, it also welcomes articles originating from surgical disciplines that focus on internal or systemic complications, perioperative metabolic and hemodynamic management, or medical aspects of surgical care.
By including such manuscripts, JEIMP aims to preserve and emphasize the holistic unity of medicine, reflecting its commitment to the inseparability of internal and surgical sciences in the advancement of patient-centered care.

Through this broad yet coherent framework, JEIMP provides an academic platform where generalists and subspecialists alike can share knowledge that contributes to the improvement of patient outcomes and public health.

HDTV (Hypertension Dailysis and Transplantation Foundation) Partnership

2025-08-07

A significant proportion of the founding members of the JEIMP editorial board concurrently serve as distinguished members of both the Board of Directors and the Scientific Committee of the Hypertension, Dialysis and Transplantation Foundation (HDTV). This overlap not only reflects the shared vision and longstanding collaboration between JEIMP and HDTV but also provides a solid foundation for joint scientific advancement and academic excellence in our field.

In recognition of this close relationship, JEIMP will henceforth continue its mission in direct and formal partnership with HDTV. Through a unanimous and formal resolution adopted by its Board of Directors on August 1, 2025, HDTV has designated JEIMP as its sole official journal.

It is important to note, however, that all publishing and broadmark rights pertaining to JEIMP will remain under the stewardship of MKD Digital Publishing. We believe that this collaborative model, anchored in shared leadership yet respecting organizational autonomy, will further enhance the impact and reach of JEIMP, ensuring that it remains at the forefront of scientific publishing in our specialty.
