Editorial Structure and Transparency Policy

The editorial team of the Journal of European Internal Medicine Professionals (JEIMP) consists of distinguished academicians from all multidisciplinary branches of internal medicine. Each editor has an established reputation in their respective field and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications that have received significant academic citations.

Since its foundation, JEIMP has maintained a unique editorial model: for every issue, an experienced guest editor from a different university or institution is invited to serve as an issue editor, working alongside the founding editors. This approach ensures scientific diversity, academic independence, and balanced representation across various institutions and disciplines.

All JEIMP editors share a strong commitment to advancing the journal’s international visibility and quality standards. Occasionally, editors may submit their own scholarly work—often high-impact articles that can enhance the journal’s citation profile and contribute to the dissemination of high-quality research originating from Türkiye.

In such cases, and only for the specific manuscript in which an editor appears as an author, the editor’s access and decision-making privileges are temporarily restricted to guarantee full transparency and to maintain editorial independence. The submitted manuscript is handled by another independent editor who has no conflict of interest with the authors.

This policy aims to promote the publication of scientifically rigorous and internationally competitive studies within a Türkiye-based academic platform while upholding the highest ethical and editorial standards. The founding editors of JEIMP attach great importance to maintaining this balance with fairness, transparency, and academic integrity.
