Aims & Scope

Open Access Policy, Scope, and Editorial Process

The Journal of European Internal Medicine Professionals (JEIMP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge, research, and clinical practice in internal medicine and its multidisciplinary intersections. Since its inception, JEIMP has operated under a full open-access model, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all published content in accordance with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

JEIMP offers an international platform for clinicians, academicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to disseminate high-quality, evidence-based research that contributes to improved patient care, clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare outcomes.

Scope of the Journal

JEIMP welcomes a broad range of scholarly contributions, including:

  • Original research articles

  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses

  • Clinical trials

  • Case reports with clear educational or clinical relevance

  • Short communications and brief reports

  • Educational and methodological articles relevant to internal medicine

The scope of JEIMP includes, but is not limited to:

  • General Internal Medicine and Subspecialties (e.g., nephrology, cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, gastroenterology)

  • Chronic disease management and multimorbidity

  • Clinical epidemiology and health services research

  • Preventive medicine and public health as related to internal medicine

  • Evidence-based clinical practice and guideline implementation

  • Medical education, training, and professional development in internal medicine

  • Health policy, medical ethics, and patient-centered care models

Manuscripts originating from surgical, pediatric, or other medical disciplines may also be considered, provided they align with the core principles of internal medicine and offer clinical or scientific value relevant to internists. Such submissions are evaluated using the same rigorous editorial and peer review standards as core internal medicine articles.

Peer Review and Editorial Evaluation

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process overseen by expert Section Editors. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Where appropriate, statistical and language editors may contribute to the evaluation to enhance methodological robustness and clarity.

Following acceptance, manuscripts may undergo language editing for fluency and consistency. Any such revisions are subject to final author approval prior to publication.

Publication Ethics and Licensing

JEIMP adheres strictly to internationally recognized principles of scientific integrity and publication ethics. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting broad reuse and dissemination of the work, provided proper attribution is given. Authors retain full copyright of their published work.

Archiving and Long-Term Access

All published content of JEIMP is permanently accessible through the journal’s official archive at:
